Mohnal Mehta talks about her research into Resveratrol as a chemotheraputic agent. Resveratrol is a compound that occurs naturally in grapes, peanuts, and other foods. Evidence shows that it prevents tumor growth, but we don’t know how it actually works. Mohnal’s research investigates the process behind this compound’s effectiveness against tumor growth. Mohnal is advised by Dr. Jay Tischfield and Dr. Changshun Shao in the Rutgers University Department of Genetics.
